If it aint broke...

This is a manual focus lens to work with any of the Minolta manual type SLR's (From the SR series to the X-series).

Usual Rokkor optical quality, build quality, communication, ease of use

A wee bitty slow, especially with 1:1 convertor

a jewel in the Minolta line

I have used this lens for over a year now. From f/2.0 on, all openings are great: sharp over the whole negative, no dark corners, no distortion. ALthough this is not a "G" lens, it has all qualities for professional use.

Absolute great lens, all openings usable without any doubt. Filter size only 55mm

AF speed very slow

An amazing fast and sharp optic; sadly, discontinued

This lens is one of the sharpest Maxxum's Minolta had ever made. Perhaps a close third only to AF 50/2.8 macro and AF 100/2.8 macro.

Fairly priced, very sharp, very fast

Hard to find new, narrow manual focusing ring
