B&W is the Best

B&W is the Best

B&W glass is great. Don't purchase top quality lenses and then degrade their optical path with cheap filters. If image quality is your goal - spend the $$ and get B&W filters. This manufacturer gives meticulous attention to the smallest details...it...

best glass you can get :)

best glass you can get :)

This B+W UV filter definitely feels like the most solidly well-built UV I've seen, especially with the heavy metal ring. No plastic flex here, and the threads feel perfectly engineered, gliding smoothly onto the end of your lens with German precision...

Cheap alternative

I bought this to give a little extra scope for macros without buying a dedicated lens. I'm more than impressed at this price range as the extra magnification is really useful. You do have to be patient as the DOF gets really narrow and there is some...

cheaper than a dedicated macro, light to carry around

lower quality than a macro lens, very narrow dof, some vignetting

B+W 77mm UV Filter

The filter is great. Super thin. If there was anything that I would gripe about it would have to be; there are no threads on the filter (most likely because of the thinness of the filter) and can't attach the original lens cap. Because of this, users...

Great optics but annoying cap

Great optics but annoying cap

I bought this filter to use on my Canon 16-35 L. As with any B&W product, the optics is superb. But the lens cap is really bad (you can't use the original Canon cap with the filter). It seens like a minor detail but the cap falls from the lens very...

Good quality glass, hate the slim mount

Good quality glass, hate the slim mount

My photos through the filter are clean and sharp. I hate that their slim mount means no front threads to attach my Canon lens cap. They included a cheap plastic cap, but that always falls off so I don't trust it. By comparison, the slim mount Nikon...

Does what it is made to do

Does what it is made to do

Good filter that fits nicely on my Canon 17-40 wide angle. Only downside is that, being a slim fit, doesn't allow for the Canon lens cap to fit on the lens any more--B+W does include a rubber lens cap that fits on to replace the canon one, but it...

It simply does not get any better for the price.

It simply does not get any better for the price.

Superior coated glass and slim brass ring make this filter a top contender on my ultra wide lens.
