Folds up to a very compact shape, but extends to shield stray light from the lens. I think it is much nicer then the usual hard plastic hoods. The price is extremely reasonable and I think this is a very high quality item.

Very good. I know very little about photography but these are cheap and seem to work well. Cheap meaning some people charge a fortune for similar filters and i don't know why but perhaps someone can tell me.
