To put it simply, you would never know this was on your lens & it does not appear to interfere with image quality at all. I'd highly recommend it if only as protection for the front lens element

It is expensive but all Leica items are expensive. Also, all Leica items are first class. I bought it for a new M8 and new 28mm Elmarit lens. It all works perfectly.

Sharpest lens I have for the Panasonic GF1. A little expensive but the results make it worthwhile. The macro setting is exquisite and being 90mm in Micro 4/3rds format it is equally as good for portraits! The best Micro 4/3rds lens I have.

I'd say buy it. In order to get the reach that you are looking for it's either buying this for $300 or a lens $2000+. If you have the green and the need for perfection, then go buy a $6,000.00 dollar lens. Beggars cannot be choosers.
