Kenko Teleplus DG 1.5X MC Teleconverter

this teleconverter is ok. I'm glad I did not pay more for this lense. It's ok; not great. The challenges to AF when one combines this lense with the 80-300 VR are real except under the brightess lighting conditions.

Tamron SP AF 28-75MM F/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical

This lens is one of my all time favorites. It's fairly light, tack sharp, and has a decent zoom range. The main problem is with mountaineering you tend to want either wide angle or telephoto, which this lens is neither. So, you end up taking multiple...

Opteka OPT UV 67mm 67mm High Definition II UV 0 Ultra Violet Haze Multi...

I received my Sigma len and Opteka filter today. The lens had a litte speck of dirt but image was not impacted. Being internationally located, it was too bothersome to return the len whilst it was working fine. Opteka filter was absolutely "rubbish" -...

Sony SAL-20TC

This little guy is compact and lightweight. I added it to my G series 70-200mm lens. A few preconceived notions I had were dispelled almost immediately. They said the f stops would need to drop by two by adding this. I thought I would have to make...

Nikkor AF 85mm f/1.4 D

Finding a verdict for the Nikkor AF 85mm f/1.4D isn't easy. From f/2.8and up the performance of the lens is superb and neither distortions, CAsnor vignetting are something to worry about. However, at f/1.4 and, toa lesser degree, at f/2 the lens shows...

Tokina 28 - 105 / 3,5 - 4,8

Using this for my Minolta x-700 , I'm starting to like using this better than the prime lens as it gives me more options. It came shipped with a regular UV filter which I have changed to a polarized filter..

Olympus C180 TELEPHOTO LENS

I bought this teleconverter based mainly on its cheap price. It is convenient to use on my FZ150 camera as it screws right on the lens. Unfortunately if one examines ones photos very carefully, the optical properties fall short. It is visibly less...

Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D ED-IF AF Nikkor

The Nikkor AF 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D ED is capable to produce very good to excellent images when shooting at and beyond f/5.6. At max. aperture the border performance is far less impressive due to the lack of contrast and resolution (specifically at 35mm)....

Konica AF-D 2,8 / 28-75 mm D LS-2300

This is a great lens. I use this lens on my Sony A300 and never take it off. It is not very havy, compared to other fast lenses. IQ is perfect becouse it is full frame lens and in a C sensor does not show soft corners at all. It is fast lens + Sony's...

Sony 50 mm / F 1,8 OSS SEL-50F18

Having reviewed four other 50mm F1.4 lenses of similar design over the past few months, we weren't expecting any major surprises from the Sony version. And in broad terms it's not hugely different from its Canon, Nikon and Pentax equivalents; as befits...
