This is one fancy rectangular lens hood. I like it because it is so unusual, and the quality is there, I too have sticker price shock, but this is no ordinary hood. I work with metal for a living, so the price is in line with not mass produced items....

I can't put the original lens cap, and don't provide an alternative one I don't couple filters in front of it!!! I have to remove it to put the filter before the hood I have to find a lens cap with the maximun hood's diameter

This lens is fantastic, it is the "must have lens" on the K10 and the k20. Really spectacular. I think the only reasonable alternatives are the new tamron and Sigma but they lacks in colour and aren't 16mm!

I found this set very satisfactory and reasonably priced - earlier i had paid almost as much for a sigle (brand) polarizer filter. Here i got three - all very useful. The UV filter is great for lens protection - not a minor issue for clumsy amateurs...
