Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM

The Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM is a very compact telezoom for full-frame Canon SLRs, but its image quality is lacking.

Compact. Optically stabilized. Full-frame coverage

Pricey. Not that sharp. Lots of distortion when zoomed

Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM DO IS - Full Format Review / Test Report

The Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM DO IS is a promising new approach ... on paper at least. The DO elements allows a much more compact design compared to conventional lenses and our camera bags are certainly bulky enough already so that's something to...

Perfect zoom lens!

This lens is great. The minimal size makes it easy to transport. Not only that, it's allowed at sporting events since most stadiums only allow lenses 4 inches or less. If I were to buy a regular 300mm zoom lens, it would be much larger than 4" and...

Great for my small hands-easy to balance

I have used on moving animals in Africa - tremendous sharpness and focus. Cheetah running at full speed - stopped in the air - can see eyelash when blown up. I found about 280mm nothing is lost in the corners- just outstanding sharpness and great fast...
