Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x

The Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x is a long zoom lens with an integrated teleconverter, but its price is higher than competing lenses.

Very sharp. Superb build quality. Wide aperture for a telezoom. Integrated teleconverter. Uses small drop-in filters. Focus limiter function. Rotating tripod collar. Includes hard case and carrying straps.

Extreme price tag. Heavy.

Conclusions There's no argument to be made about the Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x in terms of image quality, build quality, or the thoughtfulness of its control scheme. The bones to pick are with its price and hefty design. The...

Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x

About a month ago Canon announced the EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x - the world's first SLR lens with a built-in teleconverter. With the simple flick of a switch on the top of its barrel, the lens can be turned into a 280-560mm f/5.6 optic....

Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x Lens Review

Causing great excitement among Canon photographers was the February 7, 2011 development announcement of the Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Ext 1.4x Lens. I was personally excited – a Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Lens had long been on my most-wanted...

Canon EF 200mm f/1.8 L USM Lens

I don't often evaluate discontinued gear, but the Canon EF 200mm f/1.8 L USM Lens had been tempting me for a long time. Your requests for a review were all I needed as an excuse to try out this legendary lens

The announcement of the new lens painfully cost me about $1,100 (outside of shipping and selling costs) on the resale of my 200mm f/1.8. I don't know if the market price will change direction before we get the new lens, but it has definitely reduced...

Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x Lens

A fast super-telephoto lens with a built-in 1.4x telephoto extender that provides greater shooting flexibility for sports and wildlife photographers.

We weren't able to run our usual Imatest tests on this lens due to lack of space in our test set-up. Although there's (just) enough space to cover a 200mm lens with smaller cameras and lenses, the combined length of the lens plus the EOS camera we used...

Canon EF 200 mm f/2.0L IS USM

When it comes to the EF mount, the Canon company already in 1991 launched a 200 mm focal length and f/2.8 aperture lens. Currently you can find its successor, presented in 1996, in shops; even though it is an elderly instrument it still can impress...

Canon EF 200 mm f/2.8L II USM

There have been quite a lot of EF mount lenses with the combination of 200 mm focal length and f/2.8 aperture in the Canon line-up. You can start their story with the legendary and unique EF 200 mm f/1.8L USM model, which was launched in 1988. Not...
