lovin every minute of it

I like pancakes.

What a beautiful piece of glass! I can't imagine using anything else for 'gym lighting' situations again. If you're taking photos for fun and pleasure, you can find something cheaper (non L class Canon f/4, Sigma non-IS, etc) that will do, but if...

What everyone else said... hands are cramping like a teenage boy that just 'figured out how to do it'. Heavy lens. But so pretty! If you want a lens this quality you'll just have to deal with the weight

This Will Never Come off my Camera

This lens will never come off my camera, this is because this is the first lens I have spent a lot of money on and the others don't come close to matching up I bought this online when prices dropped (used) from the new model, but I live on newegg so i...

Great Lens, I purchased it for sports photography (rowing to be specific) and it delivered everywhere ; 1: IS is outstanding, the panning mode works well even in a moving boat ; 2: The aperture range allows you to blur your backgrounds, and pick up...

1: Heavy, as others have said, this lens is heavier (and bigger) than the 100-400, but its worth it ; 2: Expensive, you could but 4 sigma lenses for what you buy this lens for, but as with everything, you get what you pay for

Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens

Box packaging by New egg is horrible. $1600 worth of equipment with only a crumpled piece of paper as padding, Im surprised the lens arrived in one piece.

Superb images

Heavy, price

Improved version announced

I could be mistaken, and this might be the "new" version. And there may be little or no difference. http://www.dpreview.com/news/1001/10010508canon70200isii.asp

Great lens

Canon has announced an upgrade to this lens, so this may be the "original" rather than the "latest / greatest

Excellent lens, worth every $$

Not much to say about this lens that hasn't already been said. It's excellent and everything I thought it would be based on all the reviews I have read. TOTALLY satisfied with the lens

Same con that everyone else has...it's heavy. But, I still love it

Lens makes a novice look like a pro

I haven't taken a bad picture yet. With my old lens I found that I was deleting good shots due to bad blurring or focus issues. Boy is that painful knowing you got the shot but the lens failed you. Now I delete shots for poor facial expression or bad...

I reasearched months for a top quality lens realizing that it was going to cost me some change. All the reasearch pointed to this lens. The main reason for purchase was for indoor concerts and the kids indoor sports as well as near dusk outdoor sports....

Like the others comments this thing is heavy and the cost is much higher then I would like but you "do" get what you pay for. A deeper zoom would be better but at my budget this lens and an extender will do the trick to remedy that

Versatile L Lens

This lens stays on my camera 80-90% of the time. I use it extensively for sports photos, as well a portraits and some event photography. When I really need to make every shot count, the 70-200 IS is one of the first lenses I will include in my bag. I...

Versatile lens, tack sharp, fast, makes the work of taking great photos easy

Pricey, but so is any other quality, professional grade glass, heavy, but not overly so

Awesome lens!

Newegg had the best price on the net!

Extremely sharp, IS works awesome, and great build quality. f2.8 produces a beautiful bokeh

Not a con for me, but the lens is rather heavy. Also, makes me want to keep buying L lenses

Thanks Newegg.

Canon is running a $200 instant rebate on this lens right now, given this opportunity every retailer I found raised the price by $100 effectively makign the instant rebate only $100. Newegg was the only place I found who didn't I generally trust B&H...

This lens paired with the 24-70L makes the perfect combo on a full frame camera body. I have used this lens frequently for a year or so but never actually owned one until recently. This takes super sharp images and the larger aperture allows great low...

A tad heavy this plus a full frame camera with a battery grip can be a little daunting to carry around
