Good telephoto lens.

The lens takes good usable prints about 90% of the time. The L series lenses are clearer but barely. A professional photographer I was read said that the photographer takes the picture, more expensive gear won't make the pics any better!

Price, it is black NOT white, clarity

Front of lens moves during focus

Full Framed Sensor Camera for Less

This camera has a Digic 5+ processor (when I purchased it, the description said merely 5, there's a difference)

I bought this camera because it has most of the features from the Canon 5D Mark III, with a fraction of the cost - Excellent Low Light performance (thanks to the full framed sensor, opposed to Cropped or ASP-C sensors) - 4.9 FPS shooting speed (not...

- Moire/ Noise from video I need to do more testing/ shooting but I'm finding a bit more noise from textures/ moire in the video footage (only a con if you need the footage to be perfect, otherwise, the video footage is beautiful) - One downside is the...

Great Camera

People will gripe about the slightly lower feature set on this camera compared its competition, but the bottom line is that it takes great pictures.

Takes beautiful pictures

Powerful!

Awesome, durable lens that has done me well for sporting events and outdoor shooting, including of moving vehicles and airshows. Very good lens for me, a beginner photographer at the time.

Excellent full frame camera

Excellent full frame camera. Overall grip and handling is superb. Weight is acceptable, and it can be held by one hand. Of course, if you're using those massive L lenses then even two hands won't be enough to hold those lenses comfortably. The 6D is a...

* Video is susceptible to Moire patterns * No mic jack out * No integrated flash for controlling external speedlites

Canon 0345B002

This not the highest quality lens available but very adequate for intermediate or advanced hobbyist use.

This lens has been very useful so far. The zoom lock is a great idea and a feature that I wish more of my zoom lenses had.

The length of the lens is a bit unwieldy, especially when zoomed to the maximum.

Completely let down

This was part of a big package that newegg offered for this camera and at the time i thought i got a great deal. Now i can see why it was so cheap, The Canon camera it's self is great and the stock lens that comes with it is fine, which tells me its...

When it works the image quality is great and the zoom is fantastic

This telephoto lens has continuously not functioned properly since i began using it. When attached gives me a sensor error "Err 01 Communications between the camera and lens is faulty. Clean the lens contacts". This thing is BRAND new, there is no way...

Come on, people! Rate it right!

I didn't buy this from Newegg, it came in a kit with my Canon 60D. I didn't even expect to use it (it was kind of a free extra with the purchase) but I am so in love with its performance that it has turned into my primary still shot choice. GET A HOOD...

Excellent alternative to L lenses, and gets an amazing 480mm focal length on APS-C camera bodies. Very sharp, quick autofocus with high accuracy, and needs little manual tweaking. Fairly rugged for a polymer shell. Great low light performance and works...

Other reviewers. If you are rating, you don't take two eggs off because of stock or shipping issues. You are trashing the reputation of a brilliant lens for no fault of Canon! Probably the loudest ultrasonic motor. It is quiet compared to the non-USM...

Product Specifications

The EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM telephoto zoom lens has been developed to meet the high-performance standards that today's photographers demand. Improved Image Stabilizer Technology provides up to three stops of "shake" correction, and the "Mode 2" option stabilizes images while panning with a moving subject. Compared to the original Canon EF 75-300mm IS zoom lens, this telephoto lens has faster autofocus, and overall the lens is lighter and has a smaller diameter than the original. The zoom ring can be locked at the 70mm position, making this powerful lens easy to transport, too.
