Canon 1.4x teleconverter

Expensive but nice teleconverter. I have a Kenko 1.4x teleconverter as well and can\'t see any difference in IQ or autofocus but the Kenko teleconverter fits a little loose on the lens end. The Canon teleconverter fits snug, and is therefore...

Canon's 1.4x Extender = Zoom Lite

When upgrading to Canon's 5D Mark II, the associated "full frame" sensor (35mm, un-cropped) converted all my lenses back to their "true" focal length and essentially gained in the wide angle while loosing some "reach". What's great in many ways...

Light weight, relatively cost effective, works great with EF70-200mm lens, easy to carry

Physically looses one stop, slight image quality reduction, 40% additional magnification

Does exactly what is promised.

Theres a reason those big Telephoto lens cost a king's ransom. This will give you the extra reach you want, without loosing much image quality. Much much better than the 2x TC by canon.

Image Quality

Range is only 40% more

This "Problem Solver" Extends Your "L" Lens, Like A Pro!

Let's say that you own a Canon "L" Professional telephoto lens and you also need a longer model, but it is completely beyond your reach, financially. That was my dilemma. My solution: the Canon EF Extender 1.4X II, coupled with the excellent lens that...

A real "L" Professional Lens Extender with almost no degradation of the main

Why didn't I get one of these sooner? (Oh, yea, that's my fault... Never mind.)

More or less does what it should

I've been using this a bit with a 70-200 2.8L IS. Do think I can detect a very slight decrease in sharpness compared to without it, but the extra reach is well worth it, and quality still remains far better than just using a lower-priced 70-300mm lens...

Nice extra reach, generally high quality

Price, subtle deterioration in sharpness, limited compatibility list, loss of 1 stop

Excellent Teleconverter for the Cash

I attached this baby to my Canon 70-200 2.8 (non-IS) and fired away. The photos showed no degradation, or at least that I could tell without some major pixel peeping. I seriously doubt anyone would notice any degradation with prints 8x10 or smaller. ...

Awesome Build, No picture degradation

Great extender that boost to your telephoto lenses.

Bought this extender to use with EF 70-200mm f/2.8L on my EOS 20D. Along with EOS 20D's conversion factor, I get a 157-448mm f/4L lens! Pictures taken are still sharp and I am quite satisfied. With EF 300mm f/4L IS, I would need to use monopod for...

Great telephoto extender

AF focus is fast and accurate at f/4 with EF 70-200 f/2.8 L lens. No noticeable picture quality degrading. Even at f4, still good enough for most outdoor sports action and some indoor sports action. Bird shooter will love this gadget with EF 300 f2.8 L...
