Fujifilm Fujinon XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro

The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro is a sharp macro lens, but it doesn't offer 1:1 magnification and focus is on the slow side.

Excellent sharpness. No distortion. Metal barrel and aperture ring. Includes metal hood. Compact

Focus on the slow side. Magnification limited to 1:2. Omits image stabilization. Electronic manual focus system

The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro ($649.95) covers a short telephoto field of view and is capable of focusing close enough to reproduce objects with 1:2 magnification. It's one of the first lenses that Fuji released for the X camera system, and...

Fujifilm Fujinon XF 60 mm f/2.4 R Macro

Among three lenses, presented on the day of the launch of the Fujifilm mirrorless system, the 2.4/60 model I consider the least interesting (still it doesn't mean worse). Firstly, this lens is a kind of compromise, It is understandable that the...

solid and high quality casing ; very good resolution in the frame centre ; good resolution on the edge of the frame ; excellent correction of chromatic aberration ; slight spherical aberration ; good coma correction ; negligible astigmatism ; moderate...

noticeable distortion ; unreliable autofocus ; work against bright light could have been better

REVIEW: Fujifilm Fujinon XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro

This telephoto macro lens for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera provides a field of view equivalent to a 91mm lens on a 35mm camera, has a bright f/2.4 maximum aperture, produces half life size magnification at its closest focusing distance and costs around...

Excellent sharpness from edge to edge, even at wide apertures; Low distortion; Very Lightweight; Traditional design; Excellent build

Issue with internal reflections under certain conditions; Slow autofocus at close distances

Those wishing to use this lens for portraiture and the occasional bit of macro work will find the performance of the Fuji 60mm pretty much perfect. Sharpness is excellent from corner to corner, CA is pretty much non-existent, and other optical problems...

Outstanding Optics

Great lens. AF works ok, (not the Fuji X cameras strength) as a 60mm lens. Light, small, well made. I have gotten some stunning macro photographs, better than many using my Nikon D800 with 105mm Macro, or 200mm Macro, but the autofocus on many things...
