Old but not forgotten

 

I use this lens almost exclusively for macro or close up. It is extremely sharp, my sharpest lens. Hard to handhold. I use a tripod or monopod.

Is it a tool or is it a toy?

 

This lens is a marvel. This is definitely a tool for a professional, not a toy for someone who wants to learn about macro photography. You know when you need this lens (just look at the price tag!). The 60mm and the AF-D 105mm are really great lenses...
