Nikon AF-S Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G ED

The Nikon AF-S Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G ED is a light, compact macro lens with a standard-angle field of view that delivers very sharp results.

Sharp from edge to edge. Light and compact. 1:1 magnification. No distortion.

Strong vignette effect. Omits stabilization.

Conclusions Macro lenses generally put sharpness above all, and the Nikon AF-S Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G ED is no exception. The lens captures images that are look great at wider apertures, and are razor sharp when stopped down. It's a strong choice for...

a real bargain lens

Lightweight lens, sharp, low/no distortion, at a bargain price. This is my walk around lens, sharp as a 50mm normal lens without distortion - another advantage is the 10mm of extra reach and its close focus capability is useful for copy work or an...

Nice lens

Enjoying every minute using this lens. I didn't think it would be a heavy lens considering its dimensions so I'd suggest using a tripod. Watch out bugs...here I come!!!!

Outstanding contrast and color

The macro features are wonderfully sharp and decent DOF. Use a tripod! This is really a nice standard lens. The contrast and color are very good (on a full frame body, D610) and sharp corner to corner.
