Great lens...A+ all around

I've long been waiting to own this amazing piece of glass and was worried I had built it up to be more than it could deliver. Not so, on the D700 this is a superb setup for portraits, and is a great/fast lens for candids. Amazing bokeh!

Consistent Output ; Durable ; Easily Interchangeable ; Fast / accurate auto-focus ; Nice Bokeh ; Rugged ; Strong Construction

LIECA 90 STILL BEATS NIKON

If you are a color fine artist, Lieca still is king. The germans& sweden still will surpass the asian lens designers. Also the lieca glass will hold its value much more. My 1954 Lieca 50 macro still better color fidelity, tonality and sharpness

Versatile for D3/FX/DX FORMAT 85.MM +EQUALS 130MM IN DX

HEAVY_some plastic/Lieca compactness is key for long travleing

AF-S Nikkor 85mm f/1.4G Lens

A fast prime lens that's ideal for portraiture and suits photographers who want to shoot at f/1.4.

Overall this lens isa winner for portrait photographers, particularly on the D800 body. Our Imatesttesting showed it provided superior resolution to the 24-70mm zoom we used forour D800 tests and was well able to match expectations for the D800's...
