Excellent Glass!

Excellent Glass!

I use this to photography weddings but have used it for hockey and nightime events. This IS THE lens to get on the 4/3rds system. It is worth every penny. I usually have the lens almost wide open and with the E3 @ 1250 iso get very little noise if...

Simply Wow

Simply Wow

When I first got this lens, all I could say was "Wow". It was much bigger than any of my other lenses I own, weighing a hefty amount. I didn't know what to think. It was in testing it out that I got to see how excellent the optics are. Here's how I'll...

Olympus 35-100mm f/2 PRO ED Zuiko Digital review by lextalionis

This lens is a work-horse and performs 10 of 10 in all respects. It's crazy how sharp corner-to-corner this lens is at f/2.

Perfect

None! Dont' say, yes, it's heavy either

Wonderful for indoor sports

Wonderful for indoor sports

I use this lens with my E520 to take pictures of high school and junior high basketball and volleyball games. It's a bit long for under-the-basket shots, but from the sideline, it works very well. I no longer have to use a flash, which gives me more...

Olympus 35-100mm f/2 PRO ED Zuiko Digital review by HarjTT

1. The 35-100F2 is razor sharp even at F2. I'm shocked by the detail and sharpness thats the lens shows.

Razor sharp even at F2; sharp edge-edge; no CA at any aperture; super smooth bokeh, fast focusing; internal zoom; build quality; IQ using this lens is just something else; handholdable for quiet some time; looks damn pretty

Size and weight - 1or 2' smaller and a couple of 100lbs lighter it would be perfect; not discreet; very big lens hood; expensive, would be even better with SWD

Worth every penny. But not for hobbyists

I have been using a range of Olympus' "High Grade" lenses, including the 50mm Macro, the 14-54mm, 11-22mm, and the 12-60mm. Each of those lenses have been great. Some better than others in either sharpness or color reproduction. But I can't complain...

Magnificent Glass!

Magnificent Glass!

This lens is ultra bright and fast! The images have a sharp focus and a creamy bokeh. I mounted this lens on my Olympus e1 and have never unmounted since. It is very heavy and expensive... but the resulting images should have you satisfied.

If you shooting portraiture and medium range telephoto things - this is lens to have. Granted, its bleeding expensive. Its heavy. But there isnt anything around that is as bright and sharp, made by any other manufacturer in any other system. Bokeh is...

Product Specifications

This small and light 3X zoom lens covers the range from 35mm wide angle (63°) to 105mm medium telephoto (23°), giving outstanding versatility in photography from interior, portrait, nature and other general photography. It has a built-in close focusing mechanism allows simple close-up operation at every focal length, providing a minimum focus of 31cm at (f-35mm), at such distance, a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:5 is reachable. The maximum aperture is fixed at f/3.5 for the wideangle setting and slowly closing down to f/4.5 when reaches 105mm. One touch zooms does have some delightful touch, for an instance, the depth of field scales (and red infrared index) are easily to use and clearly defined and the focal length indicators is printed clearly on the lens barrel for easy reference as you zoom. However, in the case of the aperture index, it may be a little confusing to use, as the respective aperture indexes may shift as you zoom !
