It's hard not to fall for the E-P1's charms. The unashamedly nostalgic design combines with true SLR quality in a remarkably pocketable package. The lack of flash and viewfinder will put some off, as will the relatively slow focus, but overall this...

Excellent resolution, tons of detail in the shots, Appealing, bright and punchy out of camera results and well optimized JPEGs, Very clever collapsible kit lens that's small, but offers decent quality, Unique retro design puts SLR quality into a...

Slow focus requires a more considered approach to shooting, Some highlight clipping (and poor dynamic range at ISO 100), Low resolution screen that's hard to see in bright light, No viewfinder, No built-in flash (and the optional flash is expensive and...

Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital 17mm f/2.8 Review

The Olympus M:ZUIKO Digital 17mm f/2.8 is an adorable, tiny lens that looks great on any compatible camera, especially the retro Olympus PEN E-P1 and E-P2 for which it was designed. Optically though, it's a bit of a mixed bag. Its sharpness and...

Olympus 17mm f/2.8 M.Zuiko Digital Review

Optically, the lens performs well, though not exceptionally: it's reasonably sharp wide open, though best used at ƒ/4, and chromatic aberration is higher than we'd like.

A 17mm wide angle Micro Four Thirds lens from Olympus

Ultra wide-angle view

Very high price

This is a slightly disappointing curve but the results are impressive across the most-used apertures given the wide angle-of-view offered

Serious contender

This is a superb lens! I recently bought an EPL-1 with a 14-42 zoom, which is good, but, this lens has turned the whole purpose of buying the camera on its head. I\'m used to Canon full frame camera\'s with Canon EF L lenses, and bought the EPL-1 just...

Olympus Zuiko Digital 17mm f/2.8

I have never really shoot a lot of primes except on my M6. I never saw the point as sharp and fast as zooms are now a days. But I was pleasently suprised at how quick I feel in love with this lens. 17mm or 34mm equvilent seems to be the perfect focal...

One in a million

This lens is one of the best! It produces superb images that are sharp and full of contrast even at full aperture. Its focal length is perfect or the micro 4\/3 system: I use it with a Pen EP1 and that combination is perfect.

crisp clear images","Fast autofocus","very useful focal length
