Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 90-250mm f/2.8

This lens is a professional grade lens that is claimed to be splash proof and gives a 180-500mm equivalent range on the 4/3rds mount it is designed for. We take a look at how it performs.

Well built and splash-proof; Good contrast and colour rendition; Substantial tripod bush

Absolute resolution questionable, especially at the longer length

Olympus Zuiko Digital ED - 90-250mm 1:2.8 Lens

Even at the full, ultra-telephoto 250mm focal length (equivalent to 500mm on a 35mm camera), the ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 90-250mm (180-500mm*) maintains its bright 1:2.8 aperture, making it particularly popular with sports, nature and other photographers that...

Well built and splash-proof; Good contrast and colour rendition; Substantial tripod bush

Expensive; Autofocus slow and unsure for class of lens, although accurate.; Absolute resolution questionable, especially at the longer length

Olympus 90-250mm f/2.8 PRO ED Zuiko Digital review by Ocean

there is no better Zoom, I tested them all, even the Nikon 4/200-400 mm nor the Canon 5,6/100-400 mm can reach it.

best Tele-Zoom since today, full compatible with extenders and wide open

heavy, should co like 2,8/90-300 mm

Olympus 90-250

I've been shooting with this lens for about a year and a half, and I am constantly impressed with this incredible piece of gear. A 180-500mm (in 35mm equivalent) that is not only hand-holdable (well, for a while at least) but is extremely fast, weather...

Razor sharpness, amazing focal length, especially considering this is a 2.8...all the way thru the range. weather resistance, hand-holdable ;

seems expensive until you consider what this lens is and what it provides the wildlife/nature/sports photographer ;
