infrared spectrum 750nm+

This filter is *not* a infrared filter, it is at the high end of the visible light spectrum. infrared light starts at 750nm, because of this photos end up washed-out in red without adjusting the white balance and because of the spread of greenery in...

Good enough have no problems

This filter works fine for me I have a Pentax KR. You have to set a white balance with grass or trees with good sunlight. And you have to cover the viewfinder or light will leak in. I just hold my thumb over it. I'm sure there are better solutions but...

Love it!

I love this filter. I used it to modify my old SLR and the effect is great. I've added this to my portfolio of tools I use in my wedding photography business.

Won't work with Canon Digital Rebel

Unfortunately, I learned too late how to learn if an IR filter will work with your DSLR. Point an IR remote (like for your TV) at the camera and take a photo while a button is pressed. If your camera can see the light, this filter should work. 5 stars...

Deeper though about this filter...

Beside all suggested technical reminding and feeling about this filter. There is something more I need to point out: This is a true R72 720mm filter. In ohter words, it rules out all visible spectrum completely and keep only near infrared specturm. It...

Does the job, neat results!

The people who are saying this filter is defective should read up on it first as it filters out everything but the near infrared light at 720nm. A nir 'pass' would be a better name as an ir filter and UV filter both do the opposite for their types of...

Does exactly what it is supposed to do.

I got this to use with my Olympus E-500. I am still working out the kinks but I like my results so far. The only limitations has been my camera. Long exposures adds a lot more noise. I am looking for the sweet combination of settings that will work...
