I found it has given indoor shots very balanced light & reduced shadows. I tried using it at a zoo but found it reacted horribly with glass. The photos were almost pitch black. So, all in all, it's well worth the $10!

Sometimes this little gadget softens when I need it. I think for the money it is a nice little extra to carry around. You might have a shot that turns out just the way you liked without all the bulkiness of carrying something bigger to do the same...
