Samsung 50-200mm f4-5.6 ED OIS II

Works fine, good value and compact compared with many other zoom lens.

Extending zoom is stiffer than expected so more difficult to zoom in smoothly

This is my first telephoto lens so it's difficult to be objective, it's feature rich. Swapping from auto to manual is a doddle and the i-function is intuitive to use. I'm using it with a NX30 body

I can't raise a valid criticism yet, I'm using it on a weekly basis to become proficient and confident in it's use and would be in a position to be more objective in a couple of months

Excellent lens, fantastic for portraiture. NX range great for those of use who can't afford a "full fat" DSLR I use irfanview and UFRAW/Gimp very successfully in my photo workflow with Samsung RAW images

None so far...

Great image stabiliser, less lens distortion than the 18-55 lens and fast auto focus.

iFunction button is almost exactly where your fingers sit to balance the lens on an NX11, so is pressed by mistake quite often.

Image stabilizer is amazing for getting-older user with shaky hands

Bit plasticky. Time will tell if it is sturdy enough to last.

Images are clear, I have as much zoom as I need and I haven't had any problems with it at all after an extensive morning trying it out.

Good image quality. Usefull ifunction if you are confident to use the camera off the auto settings. Only had the lens a few days but can see the new opportunities it will open up perticularly out doors.

Had to download the latest Firmware from Samsung to use the ifunction with my NX 5. Wasnt the easiest of things to do but when done everything works great. When you finally figure out the instructions on the Samsung website its quite straightforward...
