Samyang 35mm f/1.4 (a. k.a. Rokinon, ProOptic or Bower)

The Samyang 35mm f/1.4 is a manual-focus-only lens. It's amazingly sharper at f/1.4 than any other Nikon 35mm lens, including the Nikon 35mm f/1.4 G that costs over three times as much, but only if you know how to use it .

A fully-manual prime lens with a fast aperture at a bargain price

Bright aperture, build quality

Weak performance at wide aperture

Overall it is very difficult to characterise this lens. It is certainly a specialist optic on account of being manual-only, but it also looks and feels great. It's a bit heavy but you are getting an ultra-bright f/1.4 maximum aperture and...
