Sigma 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM

Sigma's 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM is the lens to get if a 70-200mm f/2.8 just isn't long enough, but you'll need a strong back to lug it.

Wide f/2.8 aperture throughout zoom range. Impressive telephoto reach. Very sharp. Minimal distortion. Excellent build quality. Compatible with USB dock.

Expensive. Very large and heavy. Huge front element increases filter costs.

Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Sports Lens

The Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Sports Lens is a physically beautiful lens that delivers also-beautiful image quality even with a wide open aperture.Remarkable is that this lens has the widest max aperture available in any 300mm lens (f/2.8), but...

It is hard not to like a great looking lens with a 120-300mm focal length range in a non-extending, solidly built body that also feels great – and deliversimage quality that leaves most other zoom lenses wanting even at this lens' wide max f/2.8...

Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM Lens

The Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM Lens is unique in it's capabilities - at this time, no other Canon-mount zoom lens can maintain an action-stopping f/2.8 aperture beyond 200mm. This lens has action-sports written all over it. Perhaps more than from...

Sports photography is the primary market for the Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM Lens, but there are other good uses for it. On a full frame body, compressed portraits are one. On a 1.6x body or with extenders, wildlife is another. Basically, any...

Sigma 120-300mm ‘Sports’ lens review: slow focus, impressive range

The newest lens from Sigma marks the start of the company's "Sports" line of lenses. This is the Sigma 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Lens available for Canon, N

If you’re looking for a diverse zoom telephoto lens that takes sharp images with a range up to 300mm, the Sigma f/2.8 DG OS HSM is for you. But ironically I wouldn’t recommend it for sports (out of the box), but rather for nature, landscape and...

Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM review

An affordable telephoto lens for Canon, Nikon and Sigma DSLRs

Optical stabilisation ; Solid, weather-proof construction ; Available in Canon, Nikon and Sigma mounts ; Superb image quality ; Reasonable price

Heavy and unwieldy at times ; No rubber seal on lens mount ; Tripod mount isn't great

High-quality telephoto lenses for DSLRs are tricky to buy. They're a huge investment, with prices starting at around £1,500 and heading sharply skywards. There are also considerable usability problems: long focal lengths require fast shutter speeds,...
