DISAPPOINTED

I bought this lens to do a friends wedding. It was a very sunny day and worked really well. Images were excellent. However, in the dreich Scottish autumn weather, it has proved very slow to focus and sometimes improssible. The OS is very good though.

Great Buy

This is a great "walk around" lens,OS is very usefull with the slow aperture range. Ive found it to be fairly sharp and producing great results. A Good all round lens for the price !!

A very satisfactory all round lens

This lens was bought for my wife who has just started on wild flower photography. It has a very good central sweet spot focus that is appropriate for this photography, but be prepared for some loss at the edges. It is not a fast lens, and does not cope...

Good carry lens

This lens was bought to accompany my Nikon 70\/300VR; so weight is not a problem. Bought to replace Nikon 18-105VR to give longer zoom on Nikon D90. Thoroughly tested this lens for signs of any problem regarding Optical Stabiliser; non found. Focus is...

An excellent all rounder

The lens is just about as plug and play as it gets; just fit to the camera and you are away. The swith on the side selects OS or not, I have not really tested it on and off but all shots taken have had excellent focus and detail with my D50. I have had...

Noisy, therefore Disappointing

I had been looking for a lens in the 18-120 range for some time, for general purpose photography and day trips when not wanting to carry a bag of lenses, so this seemed the perfect partner for my Nikon D90. The build quality out of the box was...

Decent walkabout lens

This lens isn\'t the fastest or the sharpest and perhaps not the greatest image quality. However the focal range is just so handy as a walkabout lens and the build quality so good for the money you can forgive its short-falls as long as you are aware...

A fantastic upgrade from your kit lens

I got the Sigma 18-125 OS before Christmas as for the first few weeks, was really disappointed with it. My bone of contention was with the autofocus. Leaving the camera to sort it out just didn\'t work. Images were out of focus and unimpressive...

Better than Canon Kit Lenses

I am a bit disappointed by this lens , everything is OK when is enough light, and you take photos outside, but early in the morning and at the evening autofocus is slow and very often can set up. I am mostly using this lens as wide angle but at 18 mm...
