Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM

The Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens trades some optical quality for a compact design, low cost, and long zoom range.

Long 11.1x zoom range. Compact. Maximum 1:3 macro magnification. Optically stabilized. Compact. Available for most APS-C camera systems. Attractive price tag.

Sharpness suffers at maximum aperture. Distortion throughout zoom range.

Despite its optical issues, we're giving the Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM a four-star rating. Any long zoom SLR lens is going to come with some compromises in pure optical quality in order to achieve a manageable size and price tag. The...

I bought this lens after the stock lens was not in stock. My original plan was to buy the stock lens for the camera body I wanted and then buy an additional lens for a longer distance range. This ended up working out great because I don't have to...

Great lens

I was looking for a lens to take on holiday, rather than carry 2 or 3 individual lenses when I chanced upon this offering from Sigma. Have not had much opportunity to use it but when I have tried it on my D300S, I have been greatly impressed with the...

Ideal lens.

Got this for my wife who has a Nikon D3200. She is constantly changing from the 18-55mm lens to a 70-300mm lens. This lens fits nicely in the middle. Good sharp pictures, easy to use and auto focus spot on.
