My main propose for this lens is to shoot in Studio and outdoors for it\'s 1.8 F-stop. I did a couple of test with it to check if I have back or front focus wide open and I have to say that lens performed extremely well at 1.8 with perfect focus on AF....

This is a fantastic piece of fast glass, pin sharp right through the range, BUT it\'s totally spoilt by having the slowest noisiest AF i\'ve ever seen, seriously, it\'s appaling.

I really wasn\'t expecting much from this lens other than its glass speed but wow it\'s super sharp right from f1.8 with Canon "L" like colour and contrast. the above along with its close focusing ability make this a great prime to have.
