Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 II EX DC HSM Lens

The Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 II EX DC HSM Lens is a very attractive combination of focal length range, wide aperture and size/weight. Unfortunately, focus calibration issues appear to be prevalent in this lens

The nice padded nylon lens case shown below is provided in the box. A shoulder strap for the case (not shown) is included. Sigma's included new center & side-pinch lens caps are very nice.

Sigma 50-200mm f/4-5.6 DC OS HSM Review

While the obvious alternative is the non-OS Sigma 55-200mm ƒ/4-5.6, we haven't tested it so we can't speak to whether or not Sigma has improved on the original package. Used wide open it's above average, stopped it down to ƒ/5.6 or ƒ/8 and it provides...

Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 II EX DC HSM APO Review

With the big caveat that you want to ensure you have a good-quality sample, I'm impressed with the results presented by the Sigma 50-150mm ƒ/2.8 II. Its optical quality, marred only by de-centered lens element(s) in this copy, is very good.

Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 EX HSM DC (Nikon mount) AF Review Round-Up

The Sigma is an impressive lens with only few weaknesses. The resolution is excellent at 50mm and 100mm and (roughly) very good at 150mm although the quality could be a little better at f/2.8 here. While not formally tested the close focus performance...

Sigma 50-150 F/2.8 EX DC HSM

Versatile, fast lens for your lens collection

Sharpness, color, and contrast

Vignetting at the extreme ranges

Most of our images were sharp from edge to edge. We did see some softness in images taken at the extreme ends of the aperture range (f/2.8 and f/22), but nothing too discouraging. Overall, the sharpness, color saturation, and contrast that you get from...

Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro Lens

An affordable, high-performing macro lens that is also ideal for copying.Sigma's 50mm f/2.8 EX DG has the shortest focal length and lowest price of the four macro lenses in the company's current line-up. Designed for use with full frame digital SLR...

The Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro produced the highest resolution and second lowest chromatic aberration of the four macro lenses we reviewed in late July and early August 2010. Our Imatest tests on JPEG files taken with the Canon EOS 5D body showed it...
