Underexposed have to send it to Tamron

Cheap and sharp.

Bought this and tested on different metering modes, it's consistently underexposed by 1 stop. Send to Tamron for a fix, came back perfect. So to the guy that it's the body, it's not, your lens is also probably underexposed.

Great Lens For Cheap Price?

Tamron Lenses Rocks!

For the price, $399 after $50 rebate, This is a steal! Overall awesome lens compare to nikon 70-300VR. Saves $$$ for this lens. Strong Construction Great Bokeh Best uses under the sun for Wildlife photos, Sports/Actions & Landscape

Heavy but What can you expect for zoom lens? most of them are heavy anyways. Not recommended for low light situations, The 70-200mm 2.8 will be perfect for low lights.

Underexposing

To the user below claiming the lens is "underexposed by one stop", let me explain how this works. Your camera BODY (not any computer anywhere in the lens) is what determines your exposure, based on your metering mode. If you're in full manual, it will...

Umm, best $450 telephoto under the sun? But don't take my word for it; read a real review, from a professional.

It isn't a 600mm crammed into the same body, with the same aperture range, for the same price... maybe in 20 years, right?
