Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Lens

A compact, lightweight all-in-one 15x zoom lens for cameras with APS-C sized sensors.Announced early in December 2010, Tamron's 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD lens introduces a new PZD (Piezo Drive) ultrasonic motor that delivers faster and quieter...

You want a general-purpose zoom lens that covers most types of subjects., You'd like a lens that requires no readjustment when you fit polarisers and graduated filters., You're happy to shoot and process raw files to optimise imaging performance.

You need close focusing and macro capabilities., You want a lens for a camera with a 36 x 24 mm sensor., You need a lens with excellent flatness of field for architectural photography and copying.

"Just a great multi-application lens"

I do bird photography. This lens has made my 300mm lens obsolete. When I travel, I used to take the 300mm and an 18-55mm, which I would interchange as required. Once I dropped my 18-55mm in the Grand Canal in Venice. Now I can used one lens with...

This will not work with a Canon 5D II. With a full frame camera like this (full 35mm sensor), you get a tunnel effect with the lens. So your photos will be round. You would think they would let you know that type of thing. If you have one of the Canon...

Tamron 18-270 mm lens

The lens is easy to attach, takes very fine pictures. The only problem is it is a little difficult to to zoom the lens. It feels somewhat too tight. Overall, it is a very good lens.
