Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro FX Lens

The Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro FX Lens is an affordable, ultra wide angle lens with an also-ultra wide f/2.8 aperture available over the entire focal length range. That this lens is full-frame-compatible adds greatly to its desirability. This is a...

Tested: Tokina AT-X 16-28mm f/2.8 Pro FX

The first lens in a promised line of AT-X Pro FX full-frame Tokinas, this is also the company's first with a highly refined, micro AF motor that's both silent and fast-focusing. Approximately a 26–45mm equivalent on Canon's APS-C bodies and 24–42mm on...

Tokina AT-X 16-28mm F2.8 PRO FX review

A zoom lens upgrade for full-frame sensors

Compatible with full-frame cameras ; Autofocus using Tokina's new 'silent' DC motor is fast, quiet and accurate

No image stabilisation ; No filter thread

Tokina AT-X 16-28mm f/2.8 PRO FX Lens

A fast, high-performance ultra-wide angle lens for Canon and Nikon DSLRs with 36 x 24 mm sensors.

We carried out our Imatest tests on this lens using the Canon EOS 5D body, which is the body we use for all assessments of 'full frame' lenses. However, to evaluate general functionality, many of the test shots were taken with the lens on an EOS 5D...

A unique fisheye zoom lens for Canon and Nikon APS-C SLRs that gives a 180 degree field of view corner to corner at 10mm.

TOKINA 10-17mm F/3.5-4.5 AX-T DX

The Tokina 10-17mm F/3.5-4.5 AX-T DX features a 180 degree view, with heavy barrelling characteristic of fisheye lenses.

REVIEW: Tokina AT-X 107 AF DX Fish-Eye 10-17mm F/3.5-4.5

Gary Wolstenholme takes a wider look at the world with the Tokina 10-17mm semi fish-eye lens.

Unique lens; Compact size; Good flare and ghosting performance; Build Quality

Chromatic Aberrations at 10mm; Focus ring rotates during AF; No built-in focus motor on Nikon version

This lens is truly unique, effectively giving owners of APS-C SLRs a little more creative scope than a normal diagonal fisheye would offer.

Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 AF DX

The Tokina 10-17mm offers a 15-26mm full-frame equivalent (16-27mm on Canon D-SLRs) and features a zoom range.

REVIEW: Tokina AT-X 16-28mm f/2.8 PRO FX

Currently available to fit Canon and Nikon SLR full frame cameras, this ultra-wide angle zoom has a fast f/2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range and costs around £795.

Very good sharpness performance; Excellent build quality; Low falloff levels for this kind of lens; Price

Barrel distortion; Levels of chromatic aberrations towards the edges of the frame

If this lens was judged on sharpness alone, it represents excellent performance for the price. Unfortunately issues such as the high levels of chromatic fringing towards the edges of the frame and distortion make this less of a clear-cut winner.
