Tokina 10-17 fisheye

As a preliminary matter, this is one of the few fisheyes out there that is designed for DX (digital) cameras. The only other one that I can think of is the Nikon 10.5, but I think sigma has a few. I chose this over the nikon 10.5 fisheye, since I...

One the few fisheye zooms available, very sturdy build

Would be nice if it were 2.8 max aperture I suppose

Great gadget lens, good quality

2008-08-31 20:52:39 Great lens allowing for some really unique shots. Though it is called a fisheye it still covers the entire (DX) frame, even at 10mm. I have used the lens correction filter in Photoshop to somewhat reduce the fisheye effects which...

The only fish eye zoom in the market. Good optical quality.

None really. The zoom ring operates a little too tight.

Very good lens for tight budget

Overall, I believe this is a very good lens. It has very good glass that allow even wall paint texture to be recorded on images. However, there is no reason why Tokina needed to make this into an APS-C size only lens. If Nikon ever enters the full size...

Good glass and good price for a fish eye lens

The zoom ring can use a little more dampering. For APS-C size only

Great lens for the money

Have been wanting a fisheye lens for a long time but couldn't justify the cost. Having a Nikon D80, I was considering the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye. It would have been a faster lens but more costly and would not have the zoom feature. The Tokina lens is...

Sharp image. Provides a new perspective with fisheye. Zoom is very smooth, a nice feature

None to speak of at the moment
