Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L Tilt-Shift Lens Review

The Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L Tilt-Shift Lens is, at review time, the widest tilt-shift SLR lens made . It is also one of the highest quality (both optically and physically) 17mm lenses made.

Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L

The Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L has the widest view angle of any tilt and shift lens currently available for 35mm SLR cameras due to this it is the professional choice for architectural or landscape photography. The direction of the tilt and shift is...

Canon TS-E 17mm f/4 L

The Canon TS-E 17mm f/4 L is an amazing lens although beginners will struggle to master its possibilities at once. When using the lens based on conventional settings it behaves pretty much like a normal ultra-wide prime lens. The center performance is...

Incredible Lense!

Bought this lense for a trip in July to the Grand Canyon. Spent a few days testing the lense down at the beach and it is incredible! The ability to get close to big objects is great. The shift function to perfect the framing is easy and gives great...

Reason Alone to Choose Canon

Canon has hit a home run with this lens. Setting aside the tilt-shift functions for a moment, it is a fundamentally stellar optic: incredibly sharp; minimal flare despite its bulbous front element; minimal chromatic aberration; and nearly no corner...

Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L review by ck_WTB

I shoot architecture professionally and this lens mated with a 21MP full frame is a dream come true. I also use the lens for landscapes and panoramas, although, the 24 TS-E might be better suited for that application as it allows for front filter use,...

Nearly perfect even with large shift/tilt movements. The best architecture lens around, especially when mated with 21MP full frame bodies

The price but then again there's nothing else as good and if you shoot professionally it will easily pay for itself. Must use your hand to shade lens, which isn't a big deal since you need to use a tripod

Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L review by pstreet

Simply an unbelievable lens. Almost no distortion at all. Focuses as close as a macro. If someone had shown me images from this lens and told me it was a 17mm I would have not believed it. An indispensable lens for an architectural photographer. Best...

Extremely sharp, almost no distortion, nothing else like it, independent control of shift and tilt
