Okay, it's a cable.... so it works, but a few upsides here: 1. flexible - I used this for my Varizoom controller to reach the camera on the end of my jib arm. I use the Skycrane which gives you a great degree of rotation and I did not want a stiff...

What They're For...The extension cords were made to accomodate those who need a longer than normal distance from their camera. Where They Connect... The extension cords have a "male" end connector and a "female" end connector. Simply plug the male end of your controllers built-in cord into the female end of the extension cord. The male end of the extension cord then plugs into the female receptical on your lens, camera or pan and tilt head. Ten feet of extension cord for all LANC controllers and DVX zoom controllers (for Panasonic AG-DVX100).
