VholdR Flat Surface Mount for the Remote Video Camera, 2" in Diameter

Although this mount is best used on a completely flat surface, I was able to attach it securely to the side of a full face helmet. The plastic doesn't feel super durable, so might give after a few good impacts.

It's fairly easy to detach the ContourHD camera from this mount, and the mount sticks to clean and flat surfaces well enough, but separating the two halves of the mount to rotate the camera is a pain in the tail. A cheap but functional design.

Wanted to order a spare flat surface mounting unit and when I received my part there is velcro only on one side of the mount. So, now I have to either find a matching velcro or remove the one side to use my own.

I agree with the previous reviewers...if you are going to mount this on a motorcycle helmet, be VERY careful about your choice of location, and expect lots of fiddling and improvising. A better design would make life much easier VholdR!!!!!

It does exactly what it is supposed to do, but the glue that holds on the velcro is not as strong as the velcro. Every time you try to adjust the camera angle you end pulling the glue apart. Got the heat gun out and got the glue good and warm and that...
