Argosy support is non-existent

Unit works O.K. Sometimes it just hangs and you have to unplug and restart it. It doesn't do well making placeholders if you stop watching a movie and want to pick up where you left off...

Support? What support... sArgosy support is non-existent

Good player

Overall: Great value, versatile in format support, great quality, offers playback from 3 places (local network - shared folders on computers or servers, internal drive if present, or USB stick), lacks real support for online videos though

Very good player, plays many formats and the network streaming works well over Ethernet, from my DROBO server. Have not tried the WiFi adapter, but I would assume if their was a strong enough signal, there shouldnt be any streaming issues there either....

The only thing preventing me from giving this 5 stars is that you have to have the video files in your house some where - ie it cannot be used for youtube or netflix. I know it wasnt meant to be, however given its networking capabilities I see no...

best media device ever

This may be the best choice as a network media storage device at around $80 without drive at the time I bought it. NAS devices seem to cost well over $100 per drive slot (with out HDD). I have two with 2Tb drives installed each in seperate rooms, I can...

I have 2 and plan to buy more if still available. Plays everything I throw at it, including ISO files. Works great as a media server as it can be seen on network from other HV335T and computers.

Can't believe newegg no longer stocks these, or even worse they are no longer produced. Last I looked Argosy hasn't anything else that comes close to this device in capability (or anyone one else for that matter).

Not bad

I replaced the HDD inside with a 2TB and it works flawlessly.

-Coming up on 2 years and it still works. -It has almost every port you could need -Supports most file types including .MKV and .m2ts which are the ones I was looking for.

-The GUI (Graphical User Interface) is rubbish. It functions fine but is really cheaply designed. -There are several buttons on the remote that do nothing.

Surprisingly Good

I'm really impressed with how well this works. It's easy enough to use that the non-techs in my house can use it as well. I would like to see user-customizable themes on the interface and maybe something a bit more modernized.

This does a great job with all the video I've thrown at it. It also handles ISOs just fine. You do need to manually set the video configuration correctly when switching between output devices.

This just does not like Western Digital drives. I originally bought a 2TB WD drive that was outside the dates and firmware revisions known not to work. But no luck. I finally bought a 2TB drive that was explicitly listed on the approved list and it...

LOVE IT!

I bought this just for my DVD collection. the 1TB hard drive I put in holds my needs. If your looking for a box and don't need to stream from online, this is the box for you!

Plays everything I thought at it! from the HDD or flash drive. AVI, MKV, 1080i, 720i, divx, everything I have works!

not so much a con but, the interface is cheesy and it's menu is alphabetical so you half to scroll through your collection to find the movie you want but, I can live with it not having 400+ DVD to lose or deal with anymore.

One of the best HDD Media Player

Must update to newest firmware from www.argory.tw v. 2.3

After updated to the newest firmware, the thing is fast and great to use. It can play anything I throw at it. In order to get the the DVD menu to work correct, make sure the DVD is inside a folder. Inside that folder there must be AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS...

look elsewhere

this could be THE BEST device but there's too much flaw in the UI/firmware/hardware ... this is very disappointing i used HDMI with SPDIF to test this device ( VR version )

Good price, possibility for a internal HDD is cool, support a lot of format, acces network share effectively, easy firmware upgrade.

color are often a little wrong, huge problem with speed when you want to copy from PC to the HV335T HDD using the 'share server' option, UI is bad ... mix that with the remote and you'll see... it doesnt respond very well and scrolling is a pain !
