love it

get the bios upgrade installed before you start using it. the included version is slow to respond to remote commands. after the update it was much, much, better. (also you get netTV, but I haven't explored it yet) upnp function works great, just tested...

plays all my media files, great picture, sound. Also acts as a network storage device streaming content to my other computers, as needed. wireless great, although transfer rate was slow (load content with the usb cable they give you) Also, I use this...

only certain wireless usb adapters work with this device so make sure you get the right one. (any with realtek rtl8187b/rtl8192/rtl8191su controller) bit torrent client would hang intermittantly but really wasn't a problem for me as I can just point my...

check their tech support first

just don't buy it.

if it worked, then it would be a nice device

1. check out their tech support before you buy! the thing kept giving me "windows delayed write fail" message from day 1, and I tried to get support: there was nowhere I could find this info in the package. I found on their website their general phone...

Good but has a big downfall...

The firmware that came on it was from April, and there was an update in August, so I'm hopeful that more features will be added in the next version, as there was in the August update.

Good interface ; Network Access (Both a network share, and can browse the network) ; Supports MANY formats ; BitTorrent ; Large HDD

Doesn't allow selection for always encrypted connections for BT ; Doesn't read Meta-Data ; Canot sort music by title/artist/genre/album/etc ; Tricky Remote Setup (The power light status is unclear) ; The power light is bright and flashes when the unit...

ALL media player and gets better when it ages

Even the price is so cheap that you can't go wrong with this... Once you have loaded all your media into this, you do not want to go back to old ways of changing CD/DVD's every time you change to another movie.

Has played every file format I have thrown to it. Can stream media files from other computers connected to network. Very recently I experimented adding UPnP server (PlayON) to one of my PC that will act as gateway for HULU, Netflix etc. (No more need...

It seem to take long time to "register" to a network after initial turn on so that other computers can "see" it. (If you leave it on all the time, this is not an issue.) Browsing menus doesn't have option to skip up/down a full page, or search by a...

Good concept, poor quality

I ended up buying a used PS3 (from a friend) and a 640gb 2.5 SATA hard drive (from NewEgg) and installed it. Took about 5 minutes (easy). All I do now is load the movies on the PS3 and no need for an external hard drive. Cost me a little more, but now...

Easily drag and drop files like an external hard drive onto the device. No need for converting files (reads almost all current formats). Small and convenient. HDMI leaves only the power cord to plug into your HDTV. Can play movies and music

The screen image is initially jumpy and you have to play around with it to get the picture straight (A "how to" in the instruction manual). Takes a minute or two to boot up. The blue power light on the front stayed on if plugged in (for me at least)...

Constant Lockup's

Pretty blue light, great concept, like the torrent download directing to the device

The hard drive shuts off after 10 mins of not playing or using the remote. I couldn't even transfer 21GB of my music to it without having to unplug it and let it reboot 3 times

i tried two units, both dissapointing

I gave this brand/unit (1gb internal) another try and RMA'd replaced it. Other unit did exactly the same thing. It just freezes and wont respond to either remote or power button on front. I'm going to stick with other brand.

Nice menu. Small box. Has internal storage that can be reached from the network

This unit freezes after long time not using. random freezing. only way to unfreeze is to pull power cord and plug back in. Weird setup with power button. First have to turn the box on with push button and then with remote
