Buffalo Link Theater PC-P3LWG/DVD

Buffalo raises the bar for home entertainment with the first combination DVD player/high-definition media streamer.

Streams high-definition video Progressive scan DVD player• USB port• Built-in Web browser

Setup program slightly confusing Unlocking DRM content too technical

Buffalo PC-P3LWG/DVD HD streamer/DVD player reviewed

If you're looking for a box that will play just about any media file that you throw at it and stream high-definition video from your PC to the TV, you could do worse than the Buffalo PC-P3LWG/DVD. At least that's the conclusion of Tom's Networking's...

Buffalo Technology PC-P3LWG/DVD High Definition Wireless Media Player

The Buffalo Technology High-Definition Wireless Media Player has incredible potential. It can output up to 1080i high-definition content and stream music, video, and photos across your home network. It can play almost every multimedia file type out...

Plays high-definition video ; Does not require HDCP ; Connects wirelessly to your home network

Poor user interface ; Does not play most protected content ; Will not play WMV HD DVDs

I had high expectations for the Buffalo Technology Wireless Media Player. It certainly had all the right stuff. It's one of the few stand-alone devices that can play back WMV HD video files. Unfortunately, this very capable hardware is let down by a...

Review: Buffalo Technology LinkTheater

The Buffalo Technology LinkTheater combines a progressive-scan DVD player, and networked multimedia adapter capable of handling streaming music and HD display of photos and movies. Jim Buzbee takes it for a spin and finds a lot, but not everything, to...

Overall, I enjoyed using the LinkTheater. It handled more video formats than other units I've tested, was handy for photo slide shows, and its music playing features worked well. I was especially pleased that it worked as well as it did with the...

Buffalo Technology LinkTheater

Progressive scan, high-definition, straightforward wireless network playback

Minor glitch in requiring the user to set the DVD region manually

Good Product

I am getting a second one.

Can stream videos, music, photos with wireless connection. Have set this up with a wireless ethernet adapter, and can stream videos across the house with no stuttering or connection problems

Needs some patience to set up. Interface is clunky but works OK

Great piece of hardware

I've had this for over a year, and I can't imagine how an entertainment center could be complete without one.

It does a lot

Streaming multimedia is inheritently problematic by nature. However, I think Buffalo has done a great job with this unit. There mistake was marketing this device as a wireless video streamer, as the wireless technology they use does not really have the...

After firmware update, and latest software, it works great. It plays Xvid wonderfully. FF and RW on the remote now work much better. Has a special menu screen for HD monitors. Very stylish. The built in DVD player also plays dvd data, so you can watch...

Wireless capability only shines with music streaming. Video streaming should be done via hardwired network cable only. I would characterize this device as experimental, expect some occasional quirks. The remote is counter intuitive. Customer support is...

Your Milage Will Vary

If you want it simple, you might be disappointed. If you're willing to work with what you have, you'll be pleased. I've had mine a while and am constantly learning new things about it, and am having a ball. In fact, I got two, and am thinking of a...

If you like your tech to have features and a few quirks, you'll love this. It works well, but requires you to, as well

It's not your mother's boom box
