Slim, Quiet

Not quite powerful enough

A cheap, small media centre that has a few problems with under-the-hood grunt, but mostly operates quite well.

The Enspire AVR-200 is an attractive, entry-level home theatre PC that boasts a seven-day EPG, the intuitive Windows MCE recording interface and dual TV tuners.

Highly affordable ; Free 3-month subscription to the ICEguide EPG ; Dual HD TV tuners ; Attractive design ; Intuitive Windows MCE interface ; Great remote ; Copious connectivity options

Core package lacks the cabling required to interface with a display ; No user manual included as yet ; Lacks a card reader ; Not powerful enough for gaming or intense content creation

It's certainly not as powerful as other media centres we've tested - games appeared as more of a slideshow than a fluid, cinematic experience - but this qualm is virtually eradicated from one look at the AVR-200's extremely reasonable price tag of...

Enspire has come up with a cracking PVR / media centre (AVR-200) for the money.

Attractive; good value for money; dual tuners

This media centre looks the part in a home's entertainment area. Nice design, nice specs and most of all something very decent for a very nice price.
