Review: AVerMedia AVerTV Express HD DVR

Being able to record my favorite videos from my TV, Xbox, and DVD player has been a desire of mine for a long time. However, there have been a couple of hangups that have kept me from this goal. First, most video capture cards are for desktops, and I...

The AVerMedia AVerTV Express HD DVR has potential, but it is very CPU intensive. If your going to use this correctly you are going to need a very powerful, and expensive, laptop to run it on. If you already have one, then great, but if not the cost may...

AVerTV

Record your live gaming escapades with the AVerTV DVR. Save them to your computer and share with friends.

You can record real-time game play

The unit has no internal hard drive space

This DVR is not a good solution to replace your cable company’s DVR unless you have enough hard drive space on your computer to save all recorded TV.

As stated in previous reviews, The hdmi proved useless since everything is copyguarded. The YRB component connection included with the card is the solution to this. Through this, I've captured everything so far through a samsung blu-ray player and my...

Just OK

works fine with the program included but the program is limited. Pinnacle will not recognize it and I am not going to upgrade the included program. After downloading the HD video I have to save it then transfer it to P innacle to edit and burn to a DVD.
