Amazon Fire TV Stick With Alexa Voice Remote

Amazon's Fire TV Stick is faster and less expensive than ever, and comes with an Alexa-enabled voice remote out of the box, making it the best budget-friendly media streamer you can buy.

Inexpensive. Comes with a voice remote. Voice search and Amazon Alexa are very useful. Fast performance.

Missing some notable streaming services.

If you want 4K support and a slightly better selection of streaming media services, the Roku Premiere+ is our Editors' Choice for 4K media streamers—but it's more than twice the price of the Fire TV Stick.

Amazon Fire TV Stick With Alexa Voice Remote review

Amazon's Alexa rules the home voice-tech world while rivals Google, Apple and Microsoft race to keep up . The giant retailer doesn't make phones ( anymore ), but it's building the talking digital assistant into devices beyond its blockbuster Echo and...

The $40 Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote is one of the least expensive devices to stream video from Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO, Sling TV and other online services. It's just as responsive as other devices, meaning it's lightning-fast, and...

The current user interface pushes Amazon content too aggressively. Alexa is less useful than with always-on devices. Unlike Roku there's no dedicated app for any other a la carte video service, like Vudu or Fandango Now, beyond Amazon's.

The fast, affordable new Fire TV stick is great for fans of Amazon who'll use its voice capabilities, and an excellent value, but it's still not as good as Roku.

Amazon Fire TV Stick review:

Along with Roku, Apple and Google, Amazon is a major player in streaming TV devices , and the Fire TV Stick is the most popular Amazon streamer. It's small, cheap and capable, and people seem to like it. In fact it's the most-reviewed product in Amazon...

The Amazon Fire TV Stick can access thousands of the most popular streaming apps. It's dirt cheap and unlike Chromecast, it actually includes a physical remote. Amazon content launches quickly. The voice remote option allows more convenient search and...

Slower than most other streaming devices. Popular apps like Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and others take a back seat to Amazon's own TV shows and movies. There's no way to customize the interface.

The inexpensive Fire TV Stick remains a great value for heavy users of Amazon TV shows and movies, but most other new devices work better for Netflix and the rest.

Amazon Fire TV Stick

Amazon's stick-sized version of the Fire TV media hub is less than half the price and offers all of the same appealing features, save for sheer speed.

Inexpensive. Feature-rich. Lots of content and services available, especially for Amazon Prime members

Not as quick as the Fire TV. Interface is curated primarily around Amazon content

Amazon has joined Google and Roku as a purveyor of tiny, stick-shaped media hubs with the Fire TV Stick. Like the Google Chromecast and the Roku Streaming Stick, the Fire TV Stick is a tiny bar that you stick into your HDTV's HDMI port and use just...

Fire TV Stick review: a more affordable streamer from Amazon

The Fire TV Stick addresses a number of issues we had with the Fire TV and comes with a much smaller price tag. It's not dramatically better than its competitors, but it's certainly not any worse. For $39, it's a perfectly viable streaming-media...

Unobtrusive design ; Vastly improved onscreen keyboard ; Dedicated Prime Video section ; List of apps keeps getting longer

Still no HBO Go ; Included remote lacks voice search button ; Still some rough edges and inconsistencies in Fire OS

With the Fire TV Stick, Amazon seems to have a winner on its hands. It does everything you expect a media streamer to do with little fuss and a reasonable price tag. Whereas the Fire TV toyed a little too much with the idea of being a game console and...

Amazon Fire TV Stick Review – A Prime no-brainer

Amazon may have been late to the streaming box game with the Fire TV , but the retail behemoth isn't letting that initial tardiness hold it back, following up with an even more affordable way to bring on-demand content to your living room. The Amazon...

For a Prime subscriber on the fence about a $99 Fire TV, the Fire TV Stick is a no-brainer. The ease and convenience of getting Amazon’s growing catalog of free content on your TV is certainly worth $39, while day-to-day niceties like a physical remote...

Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote review: Smarten up your old TV

Amazon's streaming stick is fast, and the Alexa-equipped remote adds voice control to your TV.

Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Review

Media streaming is a must have feature for a modern home theater. We look at the Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV to see if they are a better alternative to streaming from your source device or HDTV.

Setting up the Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV is virtually the same process for both devices and a fairly painless endeavor. After powering up, I was able to enter my network credential and get online to stream from my favorite apps within minutes....

Amazon Fire TV Stick Review — Primed to Entertain

For Amazon Prime subscribers, the $40 Fire TV Stick is a good investment. The original Fire TV's strengths — its ability to be synced with Amazon Prime, its simple navigation, and its good selection of video and music apps — are still present. However,...

Reasonable price ; Useful features for Amazon Prime subscribers ; Good app selection

Lackluster search features ; Navigation feels laggy ; Subpar games

A focus on Amazon apps makes the Fire TV Stick a good choice for existing Amazon customers and less compelling for others.

Amazon Fire TV Stick review

The Amazon Fire TV Stick is probably the cheapest way to add Smart TV functionality to your TV. The compact stick brings access to Netflix and Amazon Instant Video, plus dozens of other video and music streaming services, plus games. It's easy to...

Smart TV has moved from being a gimmick or a bonus to being a core part of the TV experience. If your TV doesn't support the latest Smart TV features, then the Fire TV Stick is the cheapest way to bring it up to date. Asked by Roger from UK on 12th Nov...
