SanDisk Connect Media and Flash Drives Review

If you've ever wished you could just leave your USB key on your desk or in your pocket and still access the files on it wirelessly, SanDisk's new media drives are sort of what you're looking for. Unfortunately for power users, these wireless media...

SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive (64GB)

If you have an iPhone, HTC One or another mobile device with non-removable storage, chances are you're stuck with the onboard memory for stashing music and movies. For the multimedia junkie on the move, the $99 SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive...

SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive review

Its supersmall size is not the only cool thing about the SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive.

The miniature SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive offers long battery life, a robust mobile app, and a standard SD card slot that provides a new level of flexibility in mobile storage space, media sharing, and entertainment.

The device is very slow when working as a portable storage device via its USB 2.0 port and it comes with just a one-year warranty.

The SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive makes up for its slow USB speed by offering an excellent feature set and an SD card slot that will make most casual mobile users happy, especially photographers.

SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive Review

The majority of digital cameras still rely on good old SD cards, though, smaller compact ones are increasingly relying on microSD cards instead. Sharing content between mobile devices hasn't always been the easiest process, as most of the time, we're...

Full sized SD card slot, in addition to its internal storage ; Attractive premium design ; Streaming speed is quick

Just a little pricey

After checking out SanDisk’s other product, the Connect Wireless Flash Drive, it’s really tough trying to recommend this one over that. First and foremost, there’s the matter of portability and travel friendliness, which easily goes to the Wireless...

SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive (64GB) Review and Ratings

This shirt-pocket flash-memory drive offers reliable video streaming to up to five devices. We like it, but it could use more capacity and a faster wired interface.

Compact and light ; Intuitive setup ; Easy video streaming

Limited storage space ; Wired data transfer limited to USB 2.0 speeds

The SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive occupies an unusual niche among storage devices: It’s an external hard drive that functions primarily as a platform from which to stream videos, music, and photos to mobile devices. As a result, it’s difficult...

Product Review: SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive

In addition to allowing wireless sharing of your images with clients' mobile devices, it's also a storage solution.

Compact; SD card slot; images can be viewed or shared between iOS and Android devices; intuitive app

Relatively slow performance; USB 2.0 (versus USB 3.0); app needs broader functionality in certain areas

While the SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive has some issues, it’s a good concept and is—for the most part—a convenient way to store, transfer, and share images and videos. The entire process of sharing and viewing images and videos could be faster,...

SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive review

This pocket wonder covers all your media sharing needs

Reliable Wi-Fi connectivity ; Easy to use ; Sterling battery life

Wi-Fi won't work while Media Drive is also plugged into USB ; It isn't cheap ; Not a media centre that can connect to a TV

This drive is great for the travelling person who wants to share media content in a dead zone, but it does seem more geared for home and family use.

SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive review (32GB)

SanDisk's Connect Wireless Media Drive can be used to wirelessly stream and transfer content to and from Android and iOS devices

Small and easy to carry ; Worked as intended ; SD card slot

Transfer speeds not great ; Can be a little fiddly to connect to the Internet ; Android app doesn't have a capacity indicator

This SanDisk drive gives you the ability to carry lots of video and music files that can be wirelessly streamed to a smartphone or tablet. Additionally, it can be used to store data from those devices. It's small, and it worked well in our tests.
