The Roku 2 media hub keeps all of the best features of the excellent Roku 3 and takes out some seldom-used ones to offer an even-more-affordable price.

Nice price. Plenty of online services available through channels. Headphone jack in remote control for private listening.

No wired network connection.

If you want a simple way to watch Netflix, Hulu Plus, and other online services on your HDTV, the Roku 2 is the most affordable and functional one out there. It's $20 less than the Roku 3, and the few things you lose stepping down to the Roku 2 are...

A cheaper Roku with nearly everything you want

The Roku 2 has nearly all of the important functionality of the Roku 3 for $20 less. More than 1,000 channels are supported, including Netflix, Amazon Instant, HBO Go, Hulu Plus, Pandora, MLB.TV, Amazon Cloud Player and Vudu. It also has cross-platform...

Some services, including Netflix, have an outdated interface compared with what's on other streamers. The Apple TV still works better within Apple ecosystem. And the Roku 2 is slightly slower than the Roku 3.

The Roku 2 offers tons of content sources and an innovative remote with built-in headphone jack for less, but the Roku 3 is still our favorite pick.

Lower cost cable alternative.

Once I connected my Roku 2 via ethernet it worked great as my wireless network has issues. It was much faster than my older Roku but it does not have a composite video out. Works great using HDMI. I need composite to reach my TV's in my office and den....

Great Device

I'm really enjoying my roku 2. I wish I knew about this device before getting a satellite tv contract. Had a little problem with setting it up but once everything was connected it ran smoothly.
