buyer beware

 

I have had this microwave for 15 months,and it is kaput.The paint peeled on the bottom of the microwave interior,and when sued started sparking....

Not too high priced

Surprisingly good microwave!

 

The Emerson MW8991SB microwave oven is a great microwave. The preset buttons make it so easy. There are buttons for Potato, Beverage, Popcorn, and Pizza just to name a few. It's great to be able to start the microwave by touching one button.

Dangerous!!! I have burned my finger putting a dinner in my microwave It was not used since the day before. It was scolding hot to the touch. It melted the plastic on top it was so hot. I sent it back to emerson they then sent me a release of all claim...

We bought the Emerson MW8991SB microwave on July 4, 2008, it just quit a week later. Took it back to the store and they replaced it with the same model, which lasted another week before doing exactly the same thing. Made a humming noise, popped loudly,...

Has all the features needed & then some.Easy &simple to operate.It replaces a 900 watt Emerson that died after 4 years & alot of use.If this one lasts that long I'll be very happy.It could use a timer but no big deal.Nice looking & a lot of features...

Fire Hazard

 

I bought my Emerson MW8992SB a year ago at a Target store. Last night while I was cooking a potato (which I had poked holes in), the element on the right side of the microwave burst into flame. I am glad I was in the kitchen at the time, or the fire...
