Won't fit

 

Although the filter number is the same as specified in the microwave users manual, the filter will not fit in the space provided. It only wedges awkwardly in the upper portion of the microwave.

Does not fit - do not buy

 

This particular filter does not fit GE Microwave oven JVM1640W, the filter is too small. The airflow will blow the filter out unless you secure it in place somehow. Do not buy this one, look somewhere else.

Half the price of the OEM, this filter will work just fine. I don't really care for the placement of filter in the microwave, but that has nothing with the filter itself.
