Apple Pencil

The Apple Pencil is an invaluable stylus for note-taking and drawing on the iPad Pro.

Extremely accurate in testing. Well-balanced. Easy to pair with iPad Pro. Reliable.

Only works with iPad Pro. No eraser end. Back cap is easy to lose.

Conclusions The Apple Pencil only works with an iPad Pro, and while it's a great stylus, I'm not going to tell you to buy an $800 tablet just for the Pencil. More pedestrian iPad owners will be served just fine by the Adonit Jot Touch or the Adobe Ink...

Apple Pencil Review: The Best iPad Stylus

I think that many people are looking at the Apple Pencil as a tool for artists, sketchers, and others similarly inclined. But even non-artists who pick up one of the two iPad Pros should seriously consider picking up the Pencil to go with it – I’d go...

Apple Pencil review: Much sharper than the average smart stylus

Apple's pressure-sensitive Pencil is a home run, exhibiting remarkable performance on the new iPad Pro, but that should not come as a shock: The two were engineered from the ground up to work together and only with each other.

If you’re an iPad Pro owner, should you buy the Pencil? That’s a no-brainer—Apple hit it out of the ballpark in terms of ease of use and performance. Even those who feel they have no specific use for it right now will likely find it makes life easier...

Review: Apple Pencil is iPad Pro's must have accessory

Apple Pencil is the most talked about accessory to come out of Cupertino in recent memory, and rightfully so. Its classic design, packed with cutting edge technology, makes it an enticing product for digital artists and, more importantly, speaks to the...

Intuitive pressure- and tilt-sensitive input ; Amazing hardware integration with iPad Pro ; Minimalist design

Restricted to iPad Pro

At $99, Pencil is hardly an impulse buy. Indeed, Pencil is the main reason many customers are even considering the gigantic iPad Pro. As an art tool, Pencil is unmatched in the iOS ecosystem, and that lead should only increase as more developers build...

Apple Pencil for iPad Pro review

The Apple Pencil, for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, is an impressively accurate stylus perfect for artists. Read our Apple Pencil review to decide whether you should buy one

Feels like a familiar pencil, pressure sensitive, palm and wrist rejection, quick charging, tilt sensors

Clunky charging methods, very expensive

We love the Apple Pencil's familiar design, impressive accuracy and speed that keeps the illusion of real pencil and paper alive. It's let down by its clunky and impractical charging methods, so it's lucky charging doesn't take long, and its price tag...

Great Accessory

I bought this recently, couldn't wait for it to arrive. Love the fact you can plug it into the iPad Pro for a quick charge. The Pencil has great features and it will take a while to get used to them all. My favourite so far is being able to hand write...
