Gamepark GP2X-F100 pre-reviewed

We weren't so sure about the Gamepark GP2x-F100 at first - sure the capabilities are great (Linux-powered, 3.5-inch QVGA LCD, SD slot, USB 2.0, 64MB flash, 32MB RAM, plays back MPEG, MPEG-4, Dvix, XviD, WMV, MP3, OGG, and WMA), but the gamer looks and...

GP2X F-200: Features and Specifications

While designing smart hardware for a new game console is a wonderful achievement by itself, convincing game designers to create fascinating applications for a new device is even bigger achievement. The GP2X handheld game console aims to make it by...

The Sony PSP is a powerful handheld game console that can be used as an Internet tablet via its Wi-Fi connection. Another possibility is to search for games for the Nokia N800 Internet tablet which is running Linux. Other options for mobile gamers are...

GamePark Holdings GP2X Gadget Review

Towards the end of 2005 a very interesting product emerged out of South Korea. It hasn't hit the U.S. yet, but it continues to grow little by little around Asia. This is a very unique product which will be interesting to get to know because of its...

It is unfortunate that the GP2X isn't readily available in the U.S., but it is even more unfortunate that we don't even have a device similar to this on our market. There are a lot of good features in the device that could be emulated by other...

Review: Gamepark Holdings GP2X

Released late last year, the open-source GP2X is designed with the homebrew gamer in mind. Unlike with the PSP, full-speed SNES and MAME emulators (to name a few), Quake, Doom, applications, and skins for the GP2X are all readily available online and...

This Korean handheld ditches big-name games and goes all out for emulation in an open-source, largely-not-legal way

A reasonably specced Linux multimedia touchscreen, but with no decent games bar pirated old-school ones

Emulation is the sincerest form of flattery

It's certainly not without its problems but the GP2X-F200 remains a wonderful machine that is highly recommended to hardcore retro fanatics

Review: Gamepark Holdings GP2X

Yearning to make games is something a lot of gamers have thought about at least once in their lives. If you're someone who plays games and feels like you've got an idea that would make a great game or that you could make a bad game better, chances are...

Great for people who want to program games ; It works pretty well as a music and video player

Lack of a 3d processor prevents it from really going as far as it could ; Build quality isn't all that fantastic ; Button layout is odd ; System always resets back to default settings when turned on
