I really dont see the point. This thing wont fix or repair a weak battery nor will it report a bad battery as bad.

It will save you money in the long run. The PowerEx batteries are at 2700mAh which are great for long lasting performance after one charge.

Short Term you may not be happy about the initial investment, but it will pay for itself after several charges and if it recovers any Ni-MH ""dead"" batteries.
