Tales of Symphonia

A beautiful, fun RPG with a great personality. The story is a confusing mess, but who's perfect?

Battles are fun, fun, fun ; The characters rock ; The world is attractive

The story is a mess ; Character growth isn't so interesting ; The control on the airships sucks

Tales of Symphonia - GameCube review at Thunderbolt Games

The Gamecube has been going through some dark times as of late. In a world of jeering fanboys, in a time when bashing Nintendo had become commonplace, many of the console's fans cried out for a game that could not only salvage the Gamecube's lineup of...

Tales of Symphonia

Most people look at me a little funny when I mention that Tales of Destiny is one of my favorite games of all time. It was a lesser known title on a system heavily saturated by excellent, timeless RPGs. Why, then, do I consider this game, amongst some...

TOS is one of those games that so rarely comes along, which I could rave about forever. With my severe lack of time these days to play games, when a game this long (60 hours!?!?) comes out, holds my attention for the entirety of it, and then makes me...

Tales of Symphonia

One of the best-kept secrets in video gaming has been Namco's Tales series. Originating on the Super Nintendo, the series has combined a distinct battle system with some sharp graphics and solid storylines. However, it hasn't gotten nearly the...

Of course, after all that, I wouldn't refuse the chance to interview anyone associated with the game. Despite my nit-picky complaints about many aspects of the game, this is an incredibly solid role-playing game that has deservedly earned it...

Tales of Symphonia

Tales of Symphonia, brought to us at long last by Namco on the Nintendo Gamecube, pours the icing on your favorite type of cake. It comes out swinging with the one-two punch of solid story presentation and the deepest combat system to grace an RPG yet....

Puts the power to deliver unrivaled beatdowns into the palm of your hand. RPG combat like you’ve never seen before ; Mature writing delivered by top-notch voice actors portraying fun characters

Mind numbingly bad overworld map, complete with atrocious transportation controls ; Underdeveloped dungeons, towns lacking in minigames, and NPCs with little of interest to say

Scratch the surface of this one and you’ll be stunned at how deep it truly runs. There are features hiding features hiding features here, and they’re a lot of fun to find!

Tales of Symphonia

What do you get when you mix the GameCube with a traditional RPG from the likes of Namco? The answer: a gay ol' time. At least that's been my experience with the newest entry into Namco's niche popular Tales series, Tales of Symphonia. I've been gayin'...

Overall, Tales of Symphonia is the best RPG I've played all summer. I love that I'm loving an RPG on the GameCube. Now, to wrap this up. What to say. What to say. I really just wanna get back to playing the game, so I'm gonna make this short. Ok....

The Gamecube isn't exactly an RPG haven, but with the recent release of Tales of Symphonia, Namco hopes to fix that. Fans of the Tales series have been awaiting the games release for quite some time, so the game has quite a bit to live up to. So does...

Overall, Tales of Symphonia is easily one of the best RPGs on the Gamecube. Like any game, it has its flaws, but it’s an epic adventure that any fan of the genre shouldn't miss out on.

Tales of Symphonia (GameCube) review

The RPG genre was a bit like a desert wasteland on the Gamecube; dusty and full of rocks and spiky green plants. Now, that's all changed. Namco are in town, and they brought enough fertiliser and watering cans for everyone. RPG fans - its party time,...

Every once in a blue moon a game comes along that just doesn't seem to promise too much, and yet ends up blowing everything else out of the water. This is that game. If you don't buy it, you will never know what you missed. Get it. Now.

Nine Tailed Fox? Really Scary! What's Next? A Nine Tailed Hamster!?

I am a man of constant sorrow I've seen trouble all my day. I bid farewell to old Kentucky The place where I was born and raised. (The place where he was born and raised.) So there I was, the innocent Naruto fan, searching stores to ...

The combat is awesome. Lots of voice-overs. Great graphics

The story mode is terrible. The game lies to you
