Works great for frozen berry smoothies and for baby food!

After owning this blender for over two years and using it considerably I am confident that it is serving me well. I use it daily during summertime and less often otherwise. Works well for many tasks including frozen berry smoothies, blending hot soup...

Powerful motor, weak coupling

Powerful motor, weak coupling

I had the same experience as others. I thought this blender was great until I used it in a mix with a few little (very little) ice cubes. Hitting an ice cube. rounded the plastic drive coupling. Now it's dead. Could have returned it under warranty, but...

A great way to poison yourself

A great way to poison yourself

I've had the blender for about a year and used it extensively over the first couple of months, then not for much of the summer. The unit was cleaned thoroughly as per the instructions after each use. I just went to use it again and found that the food...

It quit after the second use

Plastic collar gets sheared

After about 4 months of use the plastic collar that locks onto the blade attachment was sheared away. Motor still runs fine but the blade won't turn anymore.

Great hand blender for softer foods

Great hand blender for softer foods

The 2 piece design is great but as I experienced with this hand blender.... I have only used it 5 times and the plastic ribbed socket that drives the metal shaft for the blade has been rounded off b/c its so soft. So What this means is that the design...

Highly reliable and powerful

Highly reliable and powerful

This hand blender is great...my previous one just sat in the cabinet all the time because it wasn't at all efficient. This one is worth the price for the power it provides; it purees soup like a dream. The sealable blending container it comes with is...

I LOVED this thing UNTIL......

I LOVED this thing UNTIL......

So much easier than off-loading hot soup into a food processor or a blender. Very simple to use, makes pots of carrot soup, potato soup, zucchini soup (you get the idea) faster and with less mess than I had thought possible. HOWEVER, IT BECAME...
