Be careful about cleaning... we have had 2 seize on us (in 30 years) because they were submersed in water.

The one thing i did not like about this item, was the dial for the thickness of the pasta. It was way different from the first one i had. Which by the way the shaft snapped. I love to make my own pasta and will have to play with the settings.
